We desire to accomplish 3 Biblical Priorities on the Weekend ---
Congregate --- The Bible calls the church “a body” which is a group of people regarded collectively. This is our witness to the world that we believe in an Awesome God who desires to relate to His people, the church. We are to come together to encourage one another. Across the earth the Body of Christ comes in all shapes and sizes. Some are large, some are small, some are strong and some are weaker. Read Eph. 4:15-16 - These verses are implying that if all the limbs and ligaments, and bits and pieces decide to get along and function according to their design and contribute….Then your life will grow, increase, prosper, and Heaven also will rejoice. All we have to do is realize and appreciate we are such a Body and then act accordingly.
Celebrate --- One of the strongest signs of a Christian is his or her Worship to God (Ps 145:7). At Eastpointe, our worship is full of life...sound...and spirit. We are passionate about a living God and we desire to give voice to our love and worship to an Almighty God. Jesus said in John 10:10, “I came that you might have life and have it more abundant” – not death, not misery, not negativity, not hopelessness, but LIFE! When unbelievers enter our church, this very atmosphere of life has the spiritual capacity to penetrate their hearts with hope – hope that there is a better world: hope that perhaps there are answers within these walls to their questions an needs. Their heart may be crying out“PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME A REASON FOR MY EXISTENCE!” They will hear something that sounds different from what they know. It is more then lyrics and melodies; they are songs from Heaven that carry the breath of God to a dry and thirsty heart. I love our church because those gifted and anointed to lead in this area have devoted themselves to seek out what the King would have them sing. Their songs give us a beautiful vehicle upon which to express our love to God (Isaiah 42:8-10).
Communicate --- Jesus said “the words that I speak are spirit and life.”We believe that Word of God is NOT some old book of fairy tales and “too good to be true” promises from a distant God. The Bible is timeless...it applies to everyday living no matter when you were born. The Word of God is tested, tried, and is “truth for all people at all times in all places.” Methods are many, principles are few; methods change often, principles never do. The Bible says --- “All scripture is profitable…” (2 Tim 3:16-17).
