The 12 Foundational Beliefs:
1. The triune God: Three persons of the Trinity – The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 13:14)
2. Jesus Christ is true God and true man who was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. (Isa. 9:6; John 1:1, 14: 1 Cor. 15:47; Titus 2:13; 2 Cor. 5:21)
3. The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, are God’s divinely inspired words. (Matt 24:35; 2 Tim. 3:16)
4. Every person is born in sin. Therefore, they are separated from the life of God and are in need of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. (Rom. 3:23-26; 6:23; Eph 2:4-6)
5. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ for all people by His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. (John 3:3, 16-17; Rom. 10:9-10)
6. Believers need to be baptized in water as an outward sign of their inward commitment to Jesus. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:48; Rom. 6:3-7)
7. By confessing their sins to God, every believer will be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9)
8. It is the will of God that every believer be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak with new tongues. (Mark 16:17; Acts 2:4; 19:6; Eph. 5:18)
9. Healing is provided in the redemptive work of Christ and is available to every believer. (Psalm 103:3; Isa. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17)
10. Every believer is to grow up in the Lord through study of the Bible, prayer, and renewing the mind. (Matt. 26:41; Luke 18:1; Rom. 12:1-2)
11. When a person becomes a Christian, there is a sharing of that experience with others. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:18-20)
12. We believe in the second coming of Christ. (I Thess. 4:16-17)
