To Break Addictions?

breakPointe Recovery Ministry

Refocus. Renew. Restore.

…bringing hope, healing, and renewal to those who are STUCK

in life with hurts, addictions, and hang-ups…

Are you stuck in life?  Are you struggling to overcome an addiction?  Are you suffering from the pains of hurt?  Do you find yourself making progress only to end up in the same “Stuck in the RUT” living?  Do you find it hard to change and lack the power to have lasting change?  There is hope, healing, and renewal.

breakPointe is the healing & deliverance ministry of Eastpointe Community Church.  We believe there are 3 breakthrough truths that a person must be empowered with to break FREE, get healed, and restored.

Refocus your identity. Habits & hurts are very powerful things.  Your first step to break free is to change the image in you.  So how do you see yourself?  To live in freedom, you must shift your focus in life because what you see is what you get.  So you need a new identity --- get a new image on the inside of you that sees freedom & healing for your life.  See yourself the way God does --- He says in Jeremiah 29:11-14 says “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the LORD. “I will end your captivity and restore you…”

Renew your heart.  To Renew means to make new again or to put something different in its place.  If you are hurting, stuck in habits, or dealing with issues that you cannot seem to overcome, then you must CHANGE.  In order for change to come to your life, there must be an exchange.  You give up one thing for another.  You set aside your life for the life God has for you (Eze 36:26).  Get a new heart and with that comes new desires, values, and priorities.

Restore your life.  To restore means to return to life…to get or give new life or energy!  The healing process does not happen overnight, but with time, determination, & God’s help, your life can be NEW again.  It is so important that you surround yourself with connections – friends, mentors, accountability, and networks.
