Meridian Discipleship & Leadership Training is the spiritual growth matrix of Eastpointe Community Church.  Meridian was born in the heart of Pastor Shon and Rachel as the leadership grid that trains, equips, and empowers the growing believer at Eastpointe both deep and wide…both up and down.  

Paul prayed in Eph 3 that we would experience the love of God in 4 different ways --- height, length, width, and depth.  Isaiah 54 says --- “enlarge the place of your tent…stretch out the curtains…lengthen your cords…strengthen your stakes…for you shall expand to the right and to the left; and your descendants will inherit the nations and make the desolate cities inhabited.”  Pastor Shon and Rachel believe this is happening at Eastpointe because of the growing leaders and believers. 

Heb 5:12 NLT --- You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

The word Meridian comes from measuring the degrees around the earth’s sphere. When you know the Meridian, it gives you the ability to measure or locate any given point on the earth's surface.  You have heard of Latitude and Longitude.  It is measurements done in degrees of Latitude [lines that run east/west] & Longitude [lines that run north & south].  Eastpointe is producing 7° Leader --- the seven key elements in a leader at Eastpointe.  Meridian is offered seasonal at the Midweek Service.  Join today and be the 7° Leader --- an ordinary person allowing God to do something “extra” through them.

Meridian is so vital because it is about growing the believer at every angle…at every point…at every level --- preparing the believer for life, leadership, and ministry!! 

Eph 4:12 (LB) --- …building up the church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity. 

2 Cor. 13:9 (LB) --- Our greatest wish and prayer is that you will become mature Christians.

Eph 4:14 --- “we are not meant to remain as children at the mercy of every chance wind of teaching…but we are meant to speak the truth in love, and to grow up in every way into Christ, the head.”
